12-Step Based Model (Read More...)

Twelve-step programs have long been an important part of the recovery process and the basis for many recovery programs. Developed over 65 years ago by a small group of alcoholics, the AA program provides simple tools for living based on a set of spiritual principles and a reliance on the fellowship of men and women who share their experience and offer their support as part of a lifelong process of recovery. This approach has since been adapted for the treatment of many other addictions.

Functional Restoration (Read More...)

Functional Restoration is a combination of psychological treatment, medication optimization, and progressive physical therapy that allows patients to return to the activities most important to them. Often patients with chronic pain have decreased activity levels, muscle atrophy, weight gain, and decreased stamina. Our goal is to reverse this trend. Each patient learns to incorporate stretching, strengthening and aerobic conditioning into their daily lives. With proper safe body-mechanics instruction, we help patients cope with pain to improve their physical function, emotional state, and quality of life by decreasing the fear of re-injury while increasing general mind-body awareness.

Case Management (Read More...)

Every patient in our program is assigned a case manager, an individual who will be that person's guide throughout the course of their treatment. The case manager's role is to assist the patient through the process of recovery, coordinating the various system components in order to achieve a
successful outcome.

Nutrition Education (Read More...)

Nutrition education involves a combination of activities aimed at increasing knowledge of foods and behaviors, influencing attitudes and beliefs, developing personal skills and motivation to adopt healthy eating practices.

A related area of recovery to emphasize is good nutrition. Addicts often fail to eat properly either because the bulk of their time is spent in getting, using, and recovering from their use or because after supporting their drug habit, they do not have the money to buy food.
